Pembroke Square

This project involved a rear two storey extension to a Grade 2 listed townhouse in the heart of Kensington.

The new extension is highly glazed to maximise light, with corner opening minimal frame bifolding doors at lower ground floor level, and bifolding doors meeting a single seamless glazed roof panel overhead. The ground floor bifolding doors are stepped back form the line of the lower ground floor to form a small terrace overlooking the garden. External blinds concealed to the side of the rooflight offer solar protection in the summer.

Internally the house was refurbished with new kitchen, joinery, finishes and fittings including bathrooms. House of Design handled all of the consents, technical design and were involved on site through to completion.
