Wynyatt Street

This project involved the complete internal overhaul of a Grade 2 listed terraced house in Islington, London.

Sympathetic materials and processes were used such as Bauwerk breathable paint, and unsympathetic uPVC windows and doors were removed from the rear elevation and replaced with sensitively designed painted timber alternatives. All plastic rain and soil goods were removed and replaced with traditional painted metal.

On the upper floors the historic ceiling joists were exposed, cleaned and waxed and a new ceiling suspended between them, bringing a rhythm and warmth to the top floor bedrooms.
